HOW TO START: Establishing Services
A complimentary "Get Acquainted" Interview is always scheduled for clients using our service for the first time. Upon receiving your phone call and scheduling your FREE interview we will personally deliver all of the necessary forms and paperwork that we need for you to read and complete prior to our scheduled interview.
The following is some of the information you will need to gather for us:
- Numbers for a nearby neighbor and a local friend or relative who has
a key and access to your home that we can contact in the case of an emergency.
- A list of any persons with access and permission to be at or in your home during our service dates.
- Your flight/travel itinerary and phone numbers where you can be reached.
- The name and number for your preferred local veterinarian.
- A list of the location of food, collars, leashes, treats, toys, cleaning supplies, etcetera that we will need for the care
of your pets and property. If at all possible please gather these items in the same area so they are easy to find.
We will need at the initial interview:
- Two sets of keys to your home, one set for the sitter and one set as an office
back-up copy. Please make sure they work before we arrive.
- All of your pets current vaccination records
- All of the required forms completed.
- Payment for scheduled services (cash or check only)
- Most importantly, we will need one hour of your undivided time and attention.
During this time we will discuss your pet's requirements and routines, get to know your pet, and together we will develop a schedule that fits your needs. After this meeting is completed we will be prepared to care for your pet and home during all of your future travel.
Please request your initial "Get Acquainted" Interview at least 7 days prior to your departure (MUCH earlier for holiday periods). There is a $12 fee for initial interviews requested less than 7 days prior to your departure.
Our goal is to put your mind at ease when you have to be away
from your pets and home.
